For some time now, the so-called Beatport Mobile App has been available, allowing users to take control of their music and take their Beatport playlists and libraries with them on the go.
Since the latest update, the app has now become available for everyone. In other words, you don't need a paid subscription anymore and can start using the app with your free Beatport account.
Here’s what you can do with Beatport Mobile
1. Choose your favorite genres and give them a star. At the beginning, you'll get an algorithmic recommendation of top artists, top labels, and top releases, but you can always decide for yourself which music you finally want to follow. In the collection tab you can see which titles you have purchased or which you have already pre-ordered.
2. With the free subscription, you get a 2-minute preview of the tracks. Whether you want to add a few new tracks to your set just before a gig or put together the perfect playlist for spontaneous dance parties with friends, the Beatport mobile app helps you find your inspiration whenever and wherever it comes along. However, if the track is already in your custom playlists, it warns you against adding duplicate tracks to a playlist. This way you avoid having double tracks in your playlist.
3. As with all platforms, you can follow labels and artists and see in the app whenever they release new tracks. You'll never miss a release from your favorite label or artist again. This way, you'll always be up to date.
