YouTube integrates Bandsintown worldwide
YouTube is massively expanding its partnership with Bandsintown: From now on, concert and tour dates in 38 countries will be displayed directly on the official artist channels - previously the feature was only available in 6 countries. For artists, this means more visibility for upcoming shows and a seamless connection to fans on the world's largest video platform.
What's changing?
YouTube will display concert dates from Bandsintown directly in the "Upcoming Events" module on artist channels. Users will see a list of upcoming gigs - including ticket links and event details. The display is available on mobile and desktop devices and is automatically taken from the linked Bandsintown profile.
Advantage for artists and labels:
More reach for tour dates, no additional maintenance work in the YouTube studio, direct ticket linking for better conversion.
How to set up the function
To display your concerts on YouTube, you should ensure the following:
- Enter events correctly in Bandsintown: All upcoming dates must be complete and up-to-date in the artist profile.
- No profile on Bandsintown? Simply apply for a free profile at www.bandsintown.com/artist and have it verified.
- Check YouTube Studio: Under the "Concerts" tab you can see if you are activated for the function or if you want to log out.
YouTube is discontinuing its previous ticketing partnerships, but don't worry: Bandsintown is already working with the same partners - and more - including Ticketmaster, AXS, Eventbrite and See Tickets.
